1 - Introduce your sticker art project
After drawing a lot of weird ideas and themes for the streets, a small doodle of my character caught on and was fun to keep drawing. This was before the world of instagram/facebook/flickr... so no one gave feedback and you just did what ya wanted!
My project is born Just to have fun and cover the streets with fun characters. Theres nothing really deep here, art to me is suppose to be fun and expressive! I've tried all sticker making ways, each has their pros and cons! I'm not a hater of any one in particular but hand drawn will always be supreme! I spread my art with stickers because... its so damn fun! I get a rush putting up a combo and finding a cool spot in town. I travel a few times a year, so getting to a new city or one you been to a hundred times... knowing that your art has a home around the world!
2 - In what creative ways have you collaborated with other sticker artists?
hmm, I honestly can't tell you just one, i've been collaborating with other street artists for years. Check me out and see what the next sticker collaboration has in store! but I want to say anything with my fellow crew members "The Sticky Bandits": El Toro, UWP, BOB, Ticky, etc!
3 - Have you ever organized an event about sticker art? If not, you can write something about an event you have attended
Besides hosting a sticker drawing meetup for the afternoon, or doing a 24 hour sticker drawing marathon to raise money for charity... I have not. I helped set up for a Sticky Rick Los Angeles sticker event and always looking to work with the community! But a shout out to "Characters Welcome" show in Philadelphia... I want to say the best sticker show in the world, hosted yearly at T-moms!
4 - What are your future projects in the world of sticker art?
I dunno? I give myself yearly goals. I make a "Year in Review" street art book. I do an Inktober drawing challenge in October, maybe a group art show... who knows. stay in touch and lets see!
5 - What sticker artists do you admire or are important to you?
The up and comers. the new batch of young blood. The artists who haven't started yet. I love networking and giving advice to anyone who wants to hear an old man rant.
