1 - Introduce your sticker art project
A very close relative of our ambassador was a beekeper. When he quit, there were lots of blank sticker sets laying around in his lab (those were the stickers where he wrote the type of honey and the year of production and then pasted on the jars). Our ambassador was then just a young girl. She drew us on one of those blank stickers and slapped it sonewhere outside.
We just stay on the stickers. Our ambassador says that it is not up to the artist to say what her message is. She also says that, sone years ago, a reputable art magazine found us somewhere and wrote these words: "The choice of a profile view reminds of egyptian art, therefore to a bypassing of primitivism; but the expressions on the faces, more than appearing ineffable, invite our pareidolia, making us think now one of them worried, now another amused, now one very determined; the row is made of similarly sized Sauri? You guess it's a team in the middle of gods knows what operation; two of them are bigger and the other, or the other two, smaller? There you see a family. Hence, a satire of our faith in such groups. They discend from the early Haring but maybe from Bozzetto's animated Bolero. Where are these Sauri, or lemmings, headed to? Nobody knows. Maybe to their doom, and their dumb serenity creates a game of mirrors, at the same time funny and alarming, with the apparently unrelated words we sometime find beside them." Our ambassador says these words leave her perplexed.
The stickers are all handmade and unique. According to the moment, various mediums are used: pencils, waxes, markers, spraycan/stencil, acrylics and oils.
After all these years, being slap stuck around, we'd guess it's an obsession of our ambassador.

3 - Have you ever organized an event about sticker art? If not, you can write something about an event you have attended
No, because our ambassador believes in total anonimity. She also believes in the kind of collaboration that is inherent to the medium: the one which is naturally born when you slap a sticket near to someone else's one, and vice-versa. She loves when clusters of different stickers form. She thinks that it is more beautiful when this happens "naturally".
4 - What are your future projects in the world of sticker art?
Looks like we are gonna still be drawn and slapped around.
5 - What sticker artists do you admire or are important to you?
We admire all the sticker and street artists who create their work in the name of a true lyrical spirit, and not to show off - or, worse, in the pursuit of a visibility or "street cred" to be used for selling pieces realized in other contexts.

1 – Introduci il tuo progetto di sticker art
Un parente molto stretto della nostra portavoce faceva l’apicoltore. Quando lasciò l’attività erano rimasti in giro per casa molti rotoli inutilizzati di etichette bianche, quelli in cui scriveva il tipo di miele e l’anno di produzione, e poi li metteva sui barattoli. Lei a quei tempi era ancora una ragazzina. Ci disegnò su una di quelle etichette e ci appiccicò da qualche parte.
Noi ci limitiamo a essere sugli sticker. Dice la nostra portavoce che non sta all’artista dire qual è il suo messaggio. Dice anche che, ormai diversi anni fa, una rivista di arte considerata molto importante ci scoprì da qualche parte e scrisse queste parole: “La scelta del profilo rimanda all’arte egizia, e quindi a un superamento del primitivismo; ma le espressioni, più che risultare ineffabili, stimolano la pareidolia invitandoci a ritenerne ora uno preoccupato, ora uno divertito, ora un altro determinato; la fila è di Sauri tutti grandi uguali? Immagini una squadra impegnata in chissà che spedizione; due sono più grandi e l’altro, o gli altri due, più piccoli? Subito ci vedi una famiglia. E quindi, già, una satira della nostra fiducia in tali insiemi. Figli del primo Haring, certo, ma non già forse degli animali del Bolero animato da Bozzetto? Dove vanno, questi Sauri, o lemmings? Nessuno lo sa. Forse verso la loro fine, e la loro ottusa serenità dà vita allora a un gioco di specchi allo stesso tempo buffo e allarmante con le parole apparentemente scollegate che troviamo a volte a margine.” Dice la nostra portavoce che queste parole la lasciano perplessa.
Gli sticker sono tutti fatti a mano e diversi l’uno dall’altro. Vengono utilizzati, secondo i periodi, pastelli, cere, pennarelli, spray/stencil, tempere acriliche e colori a olio.
Dopo tutti questi anni, l'essere ancora appiccicati in giro, possiamo immaginare che si tratti di un’ossessione della nostra portavoce.
2 – Ai collaborato in qualche modo creative con altri artisti su un progetto che riguarda la sticker art? 3 - Hai mai organizzato un evento sulla sticker art? Se no, scrivi qualcosa su un evento a cui hai partecipato
No, perché la nostra portavoce crede nel totale anonimato. Crede inoltre in quel tipo di collaborazione intrinseca al medium, che nasce dal semplice piazzare un adesivo dove ce n’è già un altro di qualcuno, e viceversa. Le piace molto quando si formano quei “cluster” di adesivi tutti diversi. Trova che quando si formano per natura sia più bello di quando ci si è messi d’accordo per farlo accadere.
4 - Hai qualche progetto futuro legato alla sticker art?
Pare che continueremo a venire disegnati e appiccicati in giro.
5 - Ci sono sticker artist che ammiri o ritieni importanti per te?
Ammiriamo tutti gli sticker artist e street artist che svolgono il loro lavoro per un sincero spirito lirico e non per mettersi in mostra, o peggio che mai trovare una visibilità o una "street cred" da sfruttare poi su altre forme d’arte.
